Cancer does not go away at five o’clock or on the weekends—neither do I. My patients can reach me at any time, including nights and weekends. I provide the personal approach that is not available in clinic settings, by hospital-based oncologists. In my office, I focus not only on providing the highest quality in patient care, but I also want to ensure the highest level of comfort. For example we provide WiFi, a coffee bar and stocked refrigerator for your refreshment. I believe that comfort during therapy makes a significant difference in your overall experience.
My profession, which is my passion, offers me the ability to attend to my patients from the vantage point of being a university based teaching physician, but with a philosophy that stresses the importance of personal connection and comfort.

Dr. Gelfand founded Hudson Hematology Oncology (HHO) in New Jersey. Located on the waterfront in Jersey City, HHO is the largest hematology/oncology practice in Hudson County. HHO allows Dr. Gelfand to dedicate a part of his time to taking care of patients located in New Jersey. The HHO team includes three full time oncologists who work under Dr. Gelfand and ensure the continuity of excellent care.
Dr. Gelfand has been involved, through charities and private organizations, with the management of patients all over the world. His concentration, of course, is on the management of his patients in his own private office, now newer, larger and more accommodating to make sure that the care given remains the best available in New York.
